REVEREND MINNIE M. BANNISTER

Reverend Minnie M. Bannister is the fifth child born to the late Boston Ransom, Sr. and Minnie S. Ransom. She was born and reared in Jackson North Carolina. She moved to New York in the early sixties.

Before being licensed as a Minister , she was consecrated as a Deaconess her church involvements at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church includes , Usher’s Ministry  Sunday School Superintendent , Bible Class Teacher , Chairperson for Scholarship Ministry , Women’s Fellowship , Chairperson for church Anniversary , represented Mount Lebanon at the National Baptist Association Congress of Christian Education in Nashville Tennessee , served as a teacher at Central Hudson Baptist Association Congress of Christian Education.

She preached her initial sermon in February 2008, and was licensed to preach the Gospel, under leadership of Rev. Horace Sanders, Jr. former Pastor at Mount Lebanon. She was ordained into the gospel ministry by the Northampton County and Vicinity Missionary Baptist Association in 2015.

She is graduate of Mercy College where she received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work. In 2003, she received a master’s degree in social work from Fordham University in NYC. In 2006, she graduated from Newburgh Bible Institute where she received a bachelor’s degree in Theology. She furthered her education by studying at New Theological and Shaw University.

She was employed by Richmond Community Services as a Licensed Social Worker. In December 2008, she retired and moved to Roanoke Rapids NC.

Reverend Bannister is currently a member of Roanoke Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where serves under the leadership of Rev. Franklin D. Williams, Jr. as an Associate Minister, her church involvements includes ,Missionary Ministry, Youth Missionary, Bible Class Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, and intercessory prayer, Abundant Life Bible Study Teacher.

Reverend Bannister is a member of the North Carolina Association for Women in Ministry where she serves as the President of the Halifax /Northampton County Chapter.

She gives her time and experiences by going to various Community Nursing Homes preaching God’s word edifying the residents and giving them words of encouragement.

Reverend Bannister is married to Deacon Harry Bannister and they are the proud parents of two adult children, Sonya, Eric (Tasha) three grandchildren, Osheanna, Eric, Jr., Bryce and one great child Lamare.

Reverend Bannister is a servant of God and is dedicated to studying, preaching and teaching the word of God. She loves the Lord; God is first in her life. Her favorite scripture can be found in the Gospel according to Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. “KJV
